Red Lechwe Hunts
The red lechwe, also known as the southern lechwe or kobus leche, is a semi-aquatic antelope native to southern Africa's wetlands, floodplains and marshes.
Primarily found in Angola, Botswana, Namibia and Zambia, red lechwes prefer marshes and swamps because the abundant aquatic vegetation is a staple of their diets. Red lechwes are also excellent swimmers, and their hooves have leather-like padding that helps them when moving on slippery surfaces like mud. While they can certainly run on land, their primary method of escape is to swim.
Red lechwes can reach up to 4 feet in height and weigh up to 200 pounds. They are noted for their striking red-orange coats and impressive antlers, which resemble a wishbone shape. The animal’s coat is tinted a rusty-red color, with tawny and gray undertones on the neck, and helps it blend in with its natural habitat. The back features patches of long golden-yellow fur with a long white tail.

You may hunt using any method you prefer, including Spot and Stalk, Bow Hunting, Rifle Hunting, Pistol Hunting, Safari Style, or from a Blind. Our Packages Include:
3 days / 2 Nights Hunting Package: $1,650 + Trophy Fee
2 days / 1 Night Hunting Package: $950 + Trophy Fee

*Hunters are encouraged to tip the guides 10-15%. Bowhunters are encouraged to tip guides 20%.
