Nubian Ibex Ram Hunts

Nubian Ibex Ram Hunts

A native of the rocky, mountainous regions of the Middle East, North Africa and the Levant, the Nubian ibex thrives in dry, arid climates with sparse foliage.

The Texas Hill Country provides a remarkably suitable habitat for their needs, given that they are adaptable animals. Nubian ibexes tend to graze during the day, so when hunting them, an excellent place to start looking is around their feeding areas.

In terms of features, the Nubian ibex is highly recognizable, particularly with its dramatic horns. These are usually quite large, contain very deep ridges and large nodes, and curve up and back from the animal’s head. They can grow incredibly long as the animal ages, and some can reach up to three feet. Nubian ibexes also sport a light brown or reddish brown coat and white markings around the hooves.
