More About the Grant’s Gazelle

Native to the open plains and savannas of East Africa, the Grant’s Gazelle is celebrated for its speed, endurance, and exceptional eyesight. Mature males often weigh between 130–180 pounds and feature beautifully ringed horns that can reach up to 30 inches in length. Their tan coats and stark white underbellies make them one of the most photogenic species in the antelope family.

Despite their elegant appearance, Grant’s Gazelles are remarkably tough and wary — a true test of a hunter’s patience, marksmanship, and fieldcraft. These animals rely heavily on sight and scent, making a successful hunt both challenging and deeply rewarding.

At Stone Creek Ranch, every gazelle hunt is conducted ethically and with great respect for the animal and the land. The result is an unforgettable experience that captures the spirit of the African plains — right here in the heart of Texas.
